Halara vs Fabletics – I Tried Both As Women

Share:

halara vs fabletics

I have already written a blog comparing Halara vs Lululemon, and if you have read it, I clearly mentioned that I don’t like Halara’s sizing issues and their quality, and mentioned there that I won’t try Halara again.

But recently, while browsing TikTok, I saw many videos comparing “Halara vs Fabletics,” with some even claiming that Halara is better. This makes me try Halara again so I can give my readers an honest comparison.

Like all my other posts, this is also an unbiased and non-sponsored review where you can expect honest suggestions.

Halara vs Fabletics – Tabular Comparison

Halara is a cheaper alternative to Fabletics, but it doesn’t provide the same durability as Fabletics does. Fabletics is a gym-focused brand, whereas Halara is not.

If you are looking for a quick comparison between Fabletics and Halara, then the table below is for you.

1. Pricing and Memberships

Fabletics have a membership model that costs $59.95 per month. Members receive exclusive discounts ranging from 20% to 50% and access to early product drops.

On the other hand, Halara does not have a subscription model. Most of their leggings are priced between $20 and $60, making them much cheaper than Fabletics.

If you buy frequently, Fabletics may be a better and more economical choice. However, for casual or occasional shoppers, Halara is the more affordable option.

2. Fabrics

Fabletics is clearly the best when it comes to fabrics. Their Powerhold leggings are one of my favourites as they are best for high-intensity workouts. SculpKnit pieces are also breathable, decent and very durable.

However, Fabletics bras aren’t the best. Some are decent, but most are tight and have an odd shape. For bras, I recommend the Wacoal or Natori brands.

Halara products are super soft, thanks to their Cloudful and Ultrasculpt fabrics. I really like their UltraSculpt leggings because they come with pockets, but they’re not very durable for workouts.

But the Halara sizing, oh god, it always disappoints me.

3. Sizing

Fabletics has sizing from XXS to 4X for most of the pieces, so you will most probably find your size. Plus, their sizing across all products is the same, which allows you to order your size without any headache.

But Halara? Oh god. Their sizes are frustrating; sometimes the XL is listed as US 12, and sometimes US 16 differs by product. And if you are midsize or plus size, then it becomes more frustrating.

Another thing, Halara charges extra for plus size. What the heck? They charge $20 extra for leggings in plus sizes, and $8 for bras. Honestly, I hated this.

4. Style and Aesthetics

Fabletics offers a wide range of colour options, from bold patterns to simple colours. They frequently release new collections. I wear their clothes at the gym and have even worn them for brunch.

Halara is known for its trendy, TikTok-inspired clothing, featuring many patterns and color choices. If you want to stay on-trend, Halara is the best option. However, for durable clothing, Fabletics is the better choice.

5. Shipping and Customer Services

Fabletics ships orders quickly, usually within 2-3 days, and has an easy return policy. Their customer service is also fast and helpful.

In contrast, Halara takes longer to ship items, about 10-14 days, because many products come directly from China. Additionally, their customer service and return policy are not very good.

6. Sustainability

Fabletics’ transparency is quite limited, and their sustainability does not come out properly. However, some report shows that it uses around 50% of recycled materials. But in past, they have been concerned about the supply chain labour practice.

While Halara claims that they avoid overproduction and have on-demand production, they manufacture in China with petroleum-based fabrics and have more transparency than Fabletics, so Halara clearly wins here.

Who Wins? Halara vs Fabletics

Now, let’s get to the part you’ve been waiting for: the final winner. I have determined the winner in each category, as each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Final Thought

I think Fabletics is the best. As someone who is midsize, I find it frustrating to find clothes that fit me from Halara. I prefer durable and decent clothing over trendy styles.

However, if you like trendy clothing and are looking for more affordable options than Fabletics and Lululemon, Halara is a good choice.
