I have been using Wantable for a few months now, ordered 2 boxes, kept many, as well as returned many too. Well, it has both pros and cons, but overall, I loved Wantable.
But before, if you haven’t ever heard of it, Wantable is a clothing service where a real person (not AI) designs your clothes based on your answers to quiz questions. Those boxes can have jeans, tops, dresses or cozy sweaters. From the list, you keep the items that you like and return the others.
My First Wantable Box Was Just Okay
My first box doesn’t feel like one prepared for me. It felt more like a packet of random items. Well, not all were bad, but I didn’t even like them too much. In fact, I already owned some of those products that they have sent.
But from the second box, the collection started to improve. The stylist may have begun to know my preferences better, knowing what I have returned. In short, you will start loving the items sent from the third box.
What I returned? Generally a Wantable box has 5-7 items, from which you get options to keep or return. If you keep more than 5 products, then you get 20% off on the box.
On my first box, I got six items : Topanga Printed Midi Dress, North Hampton Shorts, Waffle Long Sleeve Top, Marley Capri Pant, Cropped Denim Jacket, and Pink Floral Scarf. From these, I kept the first 4 and returned the other 2 items.
The product and reason to return them:
- Cropped Denim Jacket – I already had one just like that, and didn’t want the same one in my wardrobe.
- Pink Floral Scarf – It was cute and I liked it, but it was priced at $36, which is quite more for a scarf.
Tips That Helped Me Get Better Boxes
With every box, I learned new things that applied to the next one to get a better box. Here are the few that you can also apply:
- Block the brand or design that you don’t like so Wantable won’t send it in your next box.
- You can view your box before delivery and even edit it, like removing some clothes or adding others. (The preview option doesn’t work every time.)
If you are not sure what to order, you can go with their special boxes called Edits. They have different themed boxes, like Figurent for Spring, Sleep, and similar. Below are the special edits (boxes) they offer:
- Sleep Break Edit: This has almost everything you need for the spring season. I once ordered this package while going on a spring vacation, and I was quite happy with the items.
- Sleep & Body Edit: This collection has cozy items, like pajamas. It includes night dresses and dresses you can wear inside the home.
Note: Stitch Box is one of the best alternatives to Wantable. A few days ago, I wrote a comparison of Wantable vs Stitch Box. You can read that blog too.

Thing I didn’t Like About Wantable
We know nothing is perfect, and the same goes for Wantable. There are a few things that really upset me.
First, they don’t always send boxes according to the season. Once, in my May box, I got a sweater. Honestly, who wears a sweater in summer?
Also, the pricing of some of their products is really high. I mean, who pays $36 for a scarf? (Maybe a rich kid can.)
Plus, their promo code feature doesn’t always work. I got one promo code through a marketing email from Wantable and tried it a few weeks later, but it didn’t work. Maybe the date had expired. But seriously, who gives a promo code that expires in just a week?
Should You Try Wantable?
If you haven’t tried any clothing subscription service, you should definitely try Wantable at least once. Don’t worry, it’s not going to cost you a lot, you can always return the whole box (if you don’t like any items) for just a $20 fee.
Yes, it may take 2–3 returns to match your preferences perfectly, but once it’s matched, you will never regret it.
Would I order again? I already did. And I added a note for “soft fall layers in cozy colors.” Let’s see what shows up.
